Broadview Animal Hospital is growing, and we’re looking for compassionate, motivated Veterinary Room Technicians to join our teams in Rochester and Dover, New Hampshire.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll work directly with patients, support veterinarians and credentialed technicians, and help guide clients through some of the most important moments in their pets’ lives. What You’ll Do
Veterinary Room Technicians are an essential part of the patient experience and the daily flow of the hospital. Responsibilities may include:
- Providing compassionate, attentive patient care
- Recording patient histories, weights, and medical information
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians during examinations and procedures
- Safely restraining patients during exams and treatments
- Assisting with blood draws, vaccinations, nail trims, and routine treatments
- Preparing and maintaining examination and treatment areas
- Filling prescriptions and coordinating follow-up care
- Assisting with laboratory diagnostics and imaging
- Monitoring hospitalized patients
- Communicating clearly and compassionately with pet owners
This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain calm, organized, and efficient in a busy hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- High school diploma or GED
- Customer service experience
AND experience in at least one of the following:
- Veterinary hospital
- Animal shelter or rescue
- Doggy daycare or boarding kennel
- Grooming salon
- Other professional animal care environment

No Veterinary Technical Experience? That’s Okay.
We’re happy to train motivated candidates in many technical skills, including:
- Blood draws
- Vaccine administration
- Safe animal restraint
- Nail trims
- Prescription filling
- Basic medical treatments and patient care
